Data Deletion

Last updated: 2025

1. Overview

This page explains how you can request deletion of your Nowzer account and content, and what happens to posts that have already been published to social platforms. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Nowzer is a social media scheduling tool. You connect your own accounts (for example, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, or Google Business Profile), and we help you schedule and publish content to those accounts. When a post is published, it lives on those platforms, not on Nowzer.

2. What We Can Delete in Nowzer

When you request deletion, we focus on data stored within Nowzer's own systems. This typically includes:

  • Your Nowzer user account and login profile.
  • Business profiles, team memberships, and related configuration created within Nowzer.
  • Content you created or uploaded in Nowzer, such as drafts, scheduled posts, and media assets stored by us.
  • Connection records for social accounts and business profiles that you linked to Nowzer.

After deletion is processed, this information will no longer be visible or accessible in the Nowzer application, subject to the limited retention described below for backups and certain business records.

3. What We Cannot Delete for You

Nowzer cannot automatically remove or change content that has already been published to social platforms. Each platform controls its own systems and content.

When you publish a post through Nowzer, we send the content to the relevant platform using their APIs. Once the platform accepts the post, it becomes part of your account on that platform. Deleting your Nowzer account or content does not automatically delete or edit those posts.

If you want to remove posts that have already been published to social platforms, you must delete them directly using each platform's own interface or tools. Their privacy policies and terms describe how and when you can do so.

4. How to Request Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your Nowzer account using the steps below. As the product evolves, we expect to add in-app options to make this even easier.

Option A: Email request (current primary method)

  1. Send an email to support@nowzer.com from the email address associated with your Nowzer account.
  2. Include your full name, business name, and a clear request for account and data deletion.
  3. If you manage multiple businesses or workspaces in Nowzer, specify which ones you want deleted.

We may ask you to verify your identity or confirm specific details to protect your account from unauthorized deletion requests.

Option B: In-app account deletion (where available)

As Nowzer grows, we plan to provide an in-app option for initiating account deletion from your account or business settings. Where this feature is available, you will be able to start the deletion process directly from within the app. We may still contact you for confirmation or clarification.

Whether you request deletion by email or through in-app controls, we aim to process verified requests within a reasonable period of time, often within 30 days, subject to the limited retention described below.

5. Retention After Deletion Requests

When you request deletion, we delete or anonymize personal data associated with your account, except where we have a legitimate reason or legal obligation to retain certain information. For example, we may retain:

  • Billing and transaction records necessary for accounting, tax, and audit requirements.
  • Security and abuse-prevention logs that help us protect the Service and our customers.
  • Data captured in routine backups, which are kept for limited periods before being overwritten.

Some business records may be soft-deleted or archived for a period of time before being permanently removed. During that period, they are not used in the normal operation of your account but may be retained for legal or compliance reasons.

6. Compliance & Your Responsibilities

Many Nowzer customers are subject to recordkeeping and retention requirements, including those imposed by regulators, carriers, or supervisory firms. In some cases, you may be required to retain certain communications or records even if you or your clients would prefer to delete them.

Nothing on this page is legal advice. You are responsible for understanding the rules that apply to your business, coordinating with your compliance or legal partners, and configuring your own retention and deletion practices accordingly.
