Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2025

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Nowzer.com ("Nowzer," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with our website, application, and related services (the "Service").

Nowzer is a social media scheduling platform designed primarily for insurance agencies and other regulated businesses. You connect your own social media and business accounts, and we help you draft, schedule, and publish content to those accounts.

Social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and Google remain separate services and control how they handle data on their own systems. This Policy does not apply to them; their own privacy policies and terms govern your use of their services.

2. Information We Collect

a. Information you provide

  • Account details: name, email address, password, business name, and similar information you provide when you sign up.
  • Business and team details: agency name, location, website, lines of business, and team member names and email addresses when you invite colleagues.
  • Content and assets: posts, captions, prompts, images, and other content you create, upload, or schedule in Nowzer, plus related metadata such as scheduled times and selected platforms.
  • Support and communications: messages you send to us and our responses, including emails and in-app support conversations.

b. Information from connected platforms

When you connect social media or business accounts to Nowzer, we receive data from those platforms based on the permissions you grant, such as:

  • Page or profile names, IDs, and profile images.
  • Tokens or credentials that allow us to publish posts you schedule and perform other authorized actions on your behalf.
  • Information about posts we create or manage for you (for example, post IDs, publishing status, and available engagement metrics).

c. Billing and payment information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment information is processed by our payment processor (for example, Stripe). We do not store full credit card numbers. We may receive limited billing details such as the last four digits of your card, expiration date, billing address, and payment status.

d. Device, usage, and analytics data

We collect information about how you access and use the Service, which may include your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, actions taken, timestamps, and performance data.

We may use tools such as PostHog, Sentry, and Google Analytics to understand how the Service is used and to diagnose issues. These tools may set cookies or similar technologies in your browser.

e. Marketing and website interactions

On our marketing site, we may use analytics and advertising pixels from providers such as Meta, X, LinkedIn, Google, and Microsoft. These help us measure the effectiveness of campaigns and understand how visitors discover and navigate our site.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Create, store, schedule, and publish content you request to connected platforms.
  • Offer AI-assisted drafting, rewriting, and compliance-aware suggestions to help you work faster.
  • Manage your account, subscriptions, and billing.
  • Respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Service.
  • Monitor for abuse, security issues, and reliability problems.
  • Analyze usage to improve features, user experience, and product roadmap.
  • Send important service-related emails (for example, security alerts or changes to these terms or policies).
  • Send optional updates, educational content, or marketing messages where permitted by law and your preferences.

We do not sell your personal information. We use it to operate and improve the Service and to support your relationship with Nowzer.

4. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, maintain session security, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used. Some cookies are essential for core functionality; others help us analyze usage or support marketing efforts on our public site.

You can usually control cookies through your browser settings and, in some cases, through platform-specific privacy controls. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.

5. How We Share Information

We may share information in the following situations:

  • Service providers: with trusted vendors that help us operate the Service (for example, hosting, storage, analytics, logging, email delivery, and payments).
  • Connected platforms: with social media and business platforms you connect, as needed to publish posts and perform actions you request.
  • Team members and account owners: within your organization, information may be visible to other authorized users based on configured roles and permissions.
  • Legal and safety: where we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental requests; to enforce our Terms of Service; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Nowzer, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to continued protections consistent with this Policy.

We may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you, for example to describe overall usage trends.

6. Data Location, Retention & Deletion

Our primary infrastructure is hosted with cloud providers in the United States. CDNs and some service providers may process data in other countries to provide performance and reliability.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, support your account, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by data type and context.

When you request deletion or close your account, we delete or anonymize personal information associated with your account, subject to limited exceptions. For example, we may retain:

  • Billing and transaction records needed for accounting and tax.
  • Security and audit logs needed to prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse of the Service.
  • Data stored in routine backups for a limited time until those backups are overwritten.

More detail on deletion is provided on our Data Deletion page.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest where supported by our providers, and access controls for administrative access.

No system can be perfectly secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials, limiting access to your devices, and notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Additional details are available on our Security page.

8. Your Choices & Rights

You may be able to:

  • Update your account and business information within the app.
  • Connect or disconnect social and business accounts at any time.
  • Manage marketing email preferences or unsubscribe from non-essential communications.
  • Request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain information by contacting support@nowzer.com.

If you are located outside the United States, local laws may provide additional rights. We will honor those rights where required by applicable law.

9. International Users

If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and potentially other countries where our providers operate.

Data protection laws in those countries may differ from those in your home jurisdiction. We take reasonable steps to protect your information in accordance with this Policy, but we do not currently make specific regulatory certification claims (for example, SOC 2, HIPAA, or GDPR certification).

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for adults acting on behalf of a business or organization. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and may provide additional notice, such as by email or through the app.

Your continued use of the Service after an updated Policy becomes effective indicates that you have read and understood the changes. If you do not agree with the updated Policy, you should discontinue use of the Service.
