Creating visual designs
How to use the built-in design editor to create branded social media graphics, add text and images, and save designs to your posts.
Opening the design editor
The design editor is available from within the post editor. When editing a post, click Edit Design in the visual assets section. This opens a full-screen design canvas where you can create or modify graphics.
The design canvas
The design editor provides a visual canvas where you can add and arrange elements. The canvas starts with your selected template or a blank design sized for social media. You can add text, shapes, images from your library, and your brand assets (logo, headshot) to create a custom graphic.
Working with templates
If you started from a template, the design loads with pre-arranged elements styled to your brand colors. You can modify any element - change text, swap images, reposition items, and adjust colors. The template gives you a professional starting point that you can customize.
Saving your design
When you are satisfied with your design, save it to attach it to your post. The design is rendered as an image and added to your post's media. You can continue editing the design later by clicking Edit Design again from the post editor.
Tips for effective social graphics
- Keep text minimal - social media graphics work best with short, punchy headlines. Save longer explanations for the caption.
- Use your brand colors consistently - the templates automatically use your configured brand colors.
- Include your logo - brand recognition builds trust, especially for new followers.
- Consider mobile viewing - most social media is consumed on phones. Make text large enough to read on small screens.
- Test different styles - try several templates to see which format gets the best engagement for your audience.
