The post editor

A complete guide to the post editor interface - caption editing, media management, platform selection, compliance checking, previews, and saving or scheduling your post.

Opening the editor

The post editor can be reached in several ways: by clicking Create Manually from the content generation page, by clicking Open in Editor on a generated post result, by clicking Edit on any post in the Content Library, or by navigating directly to a post's editor URL. The editor can appear as a full-screen modal or as a dedicated page depending on where you launched it from.

Editor layout

The editor is divided into two panels. The left panel contains your visual assets and post text. The right panel contains the post status, platform selection, compliance check, and a live preview of how your post will appear on each platform.

Visual assets (left panel)

The top section of the left panel manages your post's media:

  • Add Media - opens the media selection dialog with tabs for Upload, Library, Unsplash, GIF, and AI Generate.
  • Edit Design - opens the visual design editor where you can create or modify graphics using templates and your brand assets.
  • Preview area - shows your currently selected image or video. Click thumbnails below to switch between images.
  • Edit with AI - modify an existing image using AI. Describe the changes you want (add text, change background, adjust colors) and the AI generates an edited version.
  • Make Cover - set any image as the cover (first) image for the post.
  • Remove - delete an image from the post.

Post text (left panel)

Below the visual assets is the caption text area. The toolbar includes AI Generate (draft from a topic), AI Improve (refine existing text), an emoji picker, hashtag suggestions, and a link insertion tool. A character count badge shows the current length of your caption.

Post status (right panel)

The status section shows whether the post is a Draft, Scheduled, or Published. Status updates automatically - when you schedule a post, it changes to Scheduled. When it publishes, it changes to Published.

Publish destinations (right panel)

Check the boxes next to each social destination you want this post published to. Only connected, active destinations appear. If you do not have any destinations connected, you will see a link to the Social Accounts page to connect one.

Compliance check (right panel)

If compliance review is enabled for your business, a compliance indicator appears in the right panel. It shows the current compliance status of your post text. Compliance checks the text content only - image text is not audited. Possible states include: Pass (no issues found), Info (minor advisory), Warning (potential concern - review recommended), and Blocked (issue must be resolved before publishing).

Live preview (right panel)

The preview section shows how your post will look on each selected platform. Tabs let you switch between LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, and Google Business Profile. The preview includes your business name and avatar, the caption (truncated at each platform's preview limit), and your media.

Saving and scheduling

The editor header has two primary actions. Save Draft saves your work without scheduling - the post stays in your Content Library as a draft. Schedule opens the scheduling dialog where you can choose to publish now, add to your queue, or pick a specific time. Both actions require at least a caption and one selected platform.
